For use with netbook,
by neil, 2009-11-30

I bought the Dynadock to use with a new netbook. In particular, I was attracted by the ability to use my large, 24 inch monitor with the netbook, using the Dynadock's built in video driver. It works really well - I'm running my monitor at 1920x1200. In addition, I've plugged in speakers, wireless keyboard/mouse - all connected to netbook with one USB cable - just as advertised. Two caveats - I needed to download new drivers from the Toshiba site to work with Windows 7. And undocking the computer often requires a restart, as the computer still thinks it has an external monitor. But otherwise, I'm very happy with the Dynadock. It is small, takes up little space, and gives me the "desktop" experience when it's docked to the netbook.

Good Experience,
by Michael D. Mcgough, 2009-12-29

Purchased DynaDock U for use with a new Sony "NW" series laptop, a 3 year old Dell 24" monitor, external HD, wireless keyboard, wireless mouse and more. A positive experience so far. I did install software that came with the product. During set up process I was taken to Toshiba web site to down load Windows 7 drivers. This process went smoothly. My only obstacle encountered was finding the monitor drivers for my 24" monitor. They were already in the computer. I just had to locate them within my video monitor settings. I use a "generic Super VGA" driver. I am running 1920 x 1200 resolution. All aspects of the video for my 24" monitor are working smoothly. I do not detect the slightest bit of lag that can be attributed to the DynaDock U when playing Youtube or Netflix video. I am very impressed with the product. I have been operational for 2 1/2 weeks. My Win 7 desktop will now move automatically from the laptop to 24" monitor when I make connection to Dyna Dock U. In the system tray there is an DynaDock "icon" to use for ejection of the DynaDock when you are ready to take the laptop on road. The Win7 desk top moves back to the laptop automatically when you eject the DynaDock. My computer/tech skills would rate approximately 5 on a 10 point scale. I spent about two hours on set up and most of that time was spent looking for the super VGA drivers. If I was a little more tech savy I would have spent 30-45 minutes on the initial set up. Do not be afraid of this device! Roll Tide!!!! Sincerely, MDM

Works exactly as expected,

Awesome product. Does everything it says. Docking station has only one video card (but two outputs) so if you want to do dual monitors you still have to have a monitor plugged into your computer as well as the docking station. Overall very handy!

Full Service Docking,
by Wendy Forkas, 2009-09-16

After dealing with a Targus "pseudo" docking station this one is full service. I had no problems setting it up or using it. It has been great with multiple device: PDA, Phones, Music devices beyond the standard computer, monitor, key board, etc.
I would highly recommend to others!

Toshiba Dynadock,

Setup was quick and painless, running Windows Vista 64 Bit on a Dell Studio 1555. Including the software installation and plugging up all my peripherals it was probably 15 minutes and I was done. Took me more time to tie wrap the various cables!
