Corner Monitor Stands are hard to find,
by M. Walker, 2010-05-15
This one fills the bill nicely. Except for the leg positioners, which are plastic, this stand is all metal and quite sturdy. I took some care in assembling it as the threaded part of the legs looked as if they might bend with too much torque, but now that it is fully assembled, it's bearing the load of my 22-inch monitor and a few other miscellaneous items without any problems.
I looked for a corner monitor stand for quite some time and I kept coming back to this one. I don't care for it's looks but that's really subjective and I will dress it up in my own good time. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase and feel that it's a good value.
Pros: Sturdy, All metal, reasonably priced for its quality.
Cons: It's aesthetics may or may not be your cup of tea.
No big deal, just a good metal stand for a monitor.,

It's a metal stand for a monitor. Not much to say, but is sturdy and a good product.
perfect for my specific needs,
by James Shultz, 2010-04-20
The construction quality is great with no wobble and feels very solid. It took no longer than 2 minutes to assemble the stand. The legs screw in to the base with a plastic spacer in-between to make it flush.
My need for this stand was specific. I have a small desk set up with my PS3, XBOX 360, and PC all connected to a new 25" HDTV/monitor. The previous monitor that this replaced was smaller and sat directly on the 360. The base was small enough to leave the vents clear and the height was adjustable. This new monitor has a very large footprint on the base that covered the vents and is not adjustable. I needed a way to raise the monitor a few inches while still keeping the 360 below it and ventilated, while not taking up too much room on my small desk.
I perused several stands available, comparing the dimensions to the 360 and monitor, and checking to make sure it would not block the ventilation of the 360 as well as being able to support the sizable monitor safely. Price wasn't a primary concern but I didn't want to spend more than what an articulated arm mount would cost, since I would just go that route for the added versatility at that point.
This stand fit perfectly where I needed it, left plenty of room around the 360 for ventilation and the cables, and the monitor sat fully supported with some room to spare for the odds & ends I have around the area. The height is just enough to make the monitor at the proper height as well.
I'm very pleased with the stand and recommend it to anyone in a similar situation. The price was very nice and made it that much better.
For reference, the monitor I use with it is a Samsung P2570HD 24.6-Inch Full 1080p HDTV LCD Monitor - Black Rose
Great for a corner desk,
by Meghan, 2009-06-04
I needed a monitor stand that would allow me to put my monitor at the corner of my L-shaped Legaré 60" x 47" Corner Desk, without losing space by having to set a rectangular stand at an angle.
I've used other Allsop stands in the past, and they were of good quality, so I tried this corner stand. It fits perfectly on my desk, with the back corner leg of the stand just sitting behind the cable access hole. It raises my 22" Dell monitor to a much more comfortable height, and allows me to have my computer speaker under the monitor.
This did lose a star because due to the screw-on legs, it's not quite as sturdy as my previous Allsop stands. The legs don't screw in quite straight, so adjusting the monitor tilt results in the whole stand wobbling somewhat.
Matches my Mac!,
by E. Hollen, 2009-04-07
When I purchased my Mac Pro in 2008, I soon came to realize how much of a workspace my desk would become. Low on space, I decided to go ahead and buy a monitor stand (I bought this one because it matches the computer and the desk).
It currently is supporting my 22" Gateway HD2200 monitor, and stands approximately five to six inches off of the surface. It's surprisingly rigid and stable. My only complaint, however, is that the legs are somewhat crooked (they sort of pinch inward), and the feet on the bottom of the legs aren't secured all the way, and hang off a bit (this is why it's only 4 stars, unfortunately).
To give you a feel of what I've put on the space underneath, it's currently housing the modem, the router, a big stack of DVD cases, a big stack of DVDs (A BIG STACK), some dental floss, a bottle of silicone oil, and a blank DVD stack, and still room to go. Outstanding!
Overall, it looks fantastic and does a great job supporting even big 22" LCD monitors. I recommend this to anyone with a cluttered computer workspace. :-)
